Excitment in business land!!

It's been a mighty exciting month for Cherry Runway and myself thus far, and we're only 1/2 way throughout the month!!

After visiting a nifty shabby chic vintage store called "The Gathering" in College Park a few weeks ago, i was approched by the owner to put my jewelry in her store. I brought her 20 pieces of Cherry Runway charm bracelets and matching earrings. She LOVED them, thankfully, (and even put one on after she saw it) and i'm crossing my fingers they will sell.

After a couple of successful trips to South Florida, (and getting really really lost) i approched a really cool"vintagy" store i love to take on my line. Luckily, before i dropped off my charm bracelets at "The Gathering", i had some tucked into my portfolio and they loved them! My Cherry Runway line of jewelry is now proudly in an amazingly boutique called "Jezebel".

Jezelbel's have been in business in Fort Lauderdale for over 15 years. They specialize in vintage clothing, and carry the most outrageous lines of gifts, candles, cards, books. It's a super awesome store, that you MUST check out if your ever in South Florida.

So, right now, i'm doing alright. While i was away, my co-workers sold another two pieces from my Jenipher Lyn line, so now i've offically sold 25 pieces at Timothy's. I'm stoked!! I really can't believe it. It's so scary approching these amazing stores and galleries, but when i find out that all these people really like my jewelry (weather they want it or not) it makes me feel awesome! Cross you fingers, pray and just think good thoughts, i'm truly hoping that by the holidays i'll be invited to be in a few more stores.

Thank you all for reading! If you want to see more images of my work, click on the jewelry above and it will lead you to the flickr account where more of my new line lies. :)

The Introblog.

I realized that i never fully explained who i was in this blog. And for that, my large abyss of readers, (har har) i apologize. My name is Jenipher Lyn and I'm a artist. I mostly make jewelry, but i dabble in a few other crafts. I'm striving to get the point where i can support myself through my craft, and although the road is rocky right now, I have full faith that one that, my dream will come true!

I currently have two different jewelry lines. Cherry Runway is my affordable, eclectic jewelry line. I pride myself to create something special for every price range. From the quirky strawberry necklaces to the chunky charm bracelets and earrings, I try to make sure I have something for everyone! Jenipher Lyn Designs jewels are made with the finest Sterling silver, freshwater pearls, gemstones, and Swarovski crystals. Light and airy, much of this jewelry has a very feminine feel.

Right now i have a really talented web designer creating the new website. If you get a chance, please check it out and let me know what you think of it.

I'm not the most talented photographer, which is kind of funny since it was my major for a while. I'm trying to figure out what technique would make my jewelry look the most enticing. So, for now, i'm sorry, but i am trying to work on it. :)

I hope everyone is having a wonderful day! Look forward to some more exciting blogs, in the near future.

Craft on!

Phew, the show is over!

So...after much stress, and re-stress, the Fashion Show is finally over. And honestly, it really wasn't worthy of the stress it caused. But alas, i learned that you can't rely on just anyone, and some days your just have to figure out that you can rely on selected friends to pull through for you. All us gals had a fun time, it was stellar watching all my girls get their hair and makeup done, and we got to take a bunch of cute pictures. Sadly, pictures are all i have to show for the show, but at least it's something. I learned a lot about having a Fashion Show, and learned many tidbits that i wouldn't do for my own. Here are some pictures from the show, if you would like to see more, click them, and you will get to my flickr account.

Alchemy is a cute and edgy hair salon in Orlando. They were a talented group of women, and all of the gals in the show looked just awesome!! Jaime, a hair dresser their, helped with three of my gals hair and she was just so nice and patient. If you want an interesting, edgy style, check out: alchemyorlando.com/ If anything, just check out their funky website, it's quite entertainting.

Amanda was our makeup artist, not only did all the girls look beautiful, but she was very sweet. Be sure to checkout her makeup line! myspace.com/illumaminerals
