How crazy that a whole week has went by since my last post... weeks are FLYING BY!

Crazypants!

You know when you have your days ALLLLL planned out, and then you hear of some really neato other opportunities and you say 'heck! lets do those things instead?' well the doodle above is EXACTLY that! 

One of my friends from MATS1 posted a link about a painting a mural... i know i haven't mentioned this but I want to paint one in New York soooo badly! So i quickly put together the one above and i'm crossing my fingers!

Have there been any opportunities you'd really like to do?

It's so exciting to finally DO SOMETHING you've been wanting to do for so long!

HOLY cow! I won a grant!!

I can't express how excited and thankful i am. I applied for a professional art grant the end of last year, had the paneling a few weeks ago, and was just informed tonight, that i have been blessed with funding to follow my dreams from United Arts.



This grant will give me the opportunity to professionally print and package my 'nightly doodles', will allow me to personalize and inspire through my new [encouraging] blog Smiles and Thanks, and help me spread words of kindness and affirmation to Orlando and beyond!!

An extra special thanks to Margot Knight, Mary Patrick, Bonnie Hubbard, Rick Lang, Anna McCambridge, Dario J. Moore, Dennis Neal and Jeremy Seghers for believing in all of us, having incredible patience, and devoting your time reviewing our grants. Thank you for offering great opportunity, and helping make our artistic community a more inspiring place!

And even more so...thank you all SO MUCH for having faith in me and my art work. I can't tell you how much it means to me. Thank you.

So..for the past 24 hours i have been crossing my fingers, my toes, my ears.....?

Alas, i can share my news!! IM GOING TO BE IN THE RENEGADE CRAFT FAIR!!!!! This is such an honor and I'm so so so excited!!

The Renegade Craft Fair is one of, if not THE top notch of crafty fairs out there. RCF has been in the works for six year now, but this is the first year it's going to be in Los Angeles.

I'm so stoked! Come visit if you plan on going ! yay!!


Thank you so so so much to this lovely, talented lady for sharing her booth space with me! I am more then excited to meet you, and see all your beauties in person! :)

Yay! I'm "Flourish"ing!!

I was recently e-mailed by lovely lady named Vanessa asking if i would be an artist in her shoppe. Flourish Boutique is in South Bend, Indiana. Her shop just opened a few months ago and is doing quite well already! All of the other artists that are apart of her shop are delighted and told me i should be honored to have been contacted by Vanessa. Flourish has an abundance of handmade creations ranging from fine art, clothing, shoes, accessories, jewelry, and home decor.

Although I'm really weary of consignment after some of the other fiasco's I've encountered, I'm still very excited about this opportunity. Vanessa seems extremely put together, had a well written contact, and everyone had so many nice things to say. It was an offer i couldn't refuse. I sent off a selection of my jewels on Monday. Below is just a few to make an appearance.
