Artwork, Bicycles, and all that Jazz...

I just love bicycles.
I am lying. [only a little]

While i do love the concept of them, and think they are visually attractive, i am actually slightly scared to ride one. I have one in my garage that i asked for, and have yet to use. I'm scared about how high off the ground i am on a bike, and most days would rather roller blade.

So for now, until i get the courage to take my bike out for a spin, i will continue to enjoy the visual candy of these bicycles.

And eventually...i WILL own a bike with flowers and a bell, i'll move to the mountains, and i'll own a goat. Life will be SO grand!!

Social Media; pros and cons.

I was talking to my [talented] friend Brian tonight via video chat. Goodness, how amazing is that? I got to SEE him, and we live about as far as we can from each other in America. We were talking about our goals, what we're doing right now, etc... but the more i got to thinking the more overwhelmed i got.

I was raised in a entrepreneurial house hold, it's all i know. But since the internet is our primary market for advertising now, a lot of the advice i was given is null. I feel like i'm drowning in social media... How does ANYONE keep up with it all?!

This is only the beginning. How does everyone work SMARTER at this genre of marketing? I want to continue to grow my business and meet new people, but it seems endless.

Considering I'm barely afloat in my current day by day life, it seems like the internet ocean is going to swallow me whole. Many days i just want to say screw it, get offline, and try something different all together; unrelated to the Internets.

But most days i realize how rewarding it is to not only meet dozens of incredibly talented people but have the chance to inspire others though my work; courtesy of my handy computer. I suppose i'll just have to keep working at it, working at my pace, and learn what works and what's a waste of time in this crazy world of social media.

THANKFUL for a ME day!!

I am SO thankful for today. After a very stressful morning, i figured out what i REALLY wanted. A day for ME; no stress, no homework, just ME. My own day.
Horray!

* I dyed my hair pink!

* My hair dresser is SO great!

* 50% a Heather's new book @ B&N.

* Yoga was so brilliant tonight.

* Talking with my room mate Mary.

* FINALLY bought a new bible. [33% off]

* My friend Michael’s e-mail.

* Had a WONDERFUL chat with Margaret!

* Free sundae at TCBY for my birthday.

but really....i'm MOST thankful because...

Although, it wasn't the plan as i was creating my errand list for today, by golly! I DID get my ME day! It was so needed, and wonderful, and i internet-ed about it the whole day. I feel very hopeful tonight, unlike how i've felt in the last couple weeks. I'm so very thankful.
