2011: "My Year In Images"

This year has been an AMAZING year! Good gracious so many incredible things have happened!

In January i won a [grant] from United Arts.

In February i got in my [first] car accident. #w00t

In March i had a ME day!!

In April helped the talented Robin, hang an art show. 

In May, I hung my VERY [FIRST art show]at B3 Cafe!

In June i went to [the BIG apple] and saw ^them^! 

In July, i spent the weekend with these GREAT peoples!

In August i hung my [2nd!!] art show at Raphsodic Bakery!! 

In September we all sang in Rainy Day Revival!  
the choir band at my church!

In October...two words: DIM SUM!!!

My Art was HUNG at the Orlando Museum of Art!

In December i started to date my best friend.
I'm the luckiest girl in the world. :) :)

I'm happy that it's almost 2012 and am excited for all the adventures to come... but am so #thankful 2011 had so many blessings in it.

Thank you to all of my incredible friends, all the amazing people who supported Cherry Runway, and to my family. I'm a very lucky girl!

Atomic HERE we COME! [art shows

I'm getting ready for a SUPER fun weekend with these crazy cats, and a few other wonderful souls. In just under 2 hours, i'll be heading out to Sarasota, Florida for the weekend for The Atomic Bazaar.

Overcommited; BUT happy. :)

Hello beautiful friends!

I've been 'slaving away' making new jewelries, getting ready for Holiday shows, among other {{REALLY COOL}} things i'll blog about later.

In the mean time, i just wanted to  C E L B R A T E  that i finished my WHOLE to do list today!!! And now i get to RELAX some and go hang out with friends, until tomorrow when the CRAZINESS ensues again.

Thus, i had a few moments to take pictures of HOW freaking COOL my hair looks today! 

Now...off to the post office to mail some orders! HOORAY!

FEAR in blogging.

Blogging has been uber hard for me, but inspiring as well. After taking Holly's Blogging You Way class, i've gotten a better grasp of the blogging world, but i still deal with the anxiety i've always felt with it. :( 

But tonight, while reading the 'up up creative' blog, [a creative business lady i both admire and feel inspired by] i noticed this little GEM in her bio;

"... a post-partum depression & anxiety survivor. if you found me because of that, definitely read through the archives, reach out and say hi, and more than anything else just hang in there"

...and i suddenly felt less alone in this blogging world, knowing that it's okay that I'm suffering through a lot of things in life, in general, and even MORE...that's it's OKAY that I'm SHARING it with all of you. 

My MAIN goal in my life is to inspire, and i do hope, by sharing my life and my struggles with all of you on this blog, that one day someone will read my blog and think 'hm...i feel less alone in the world too'. 

I hope you've had a BEAUTIFUL thanksgiving week, and i look forward to writing more openly to ya'll soon.

Meeting Bakerella!

Meeting Bakerella; a story of happy inspiration

Last Saturday i had the PRIVILEGE of meeting Bakerella at my local Barnes and Nobles. 

She briefly told us about how 'Bakerella' started, and let us ask any questions we wanted. She was so lovely, and so was her mother [who was her photographer that afternoon]. After she talked to us, we all got to meet/greet her, have her sign her book, and take pictures with us. Granted, in mine she wasn't looking at my camera, but her mom got a picture of us that she will hopefully post on her Flickr account. 

It was SUCH a pleasure, and I'm so glad she finally came to Orlando to meet all her lovely fans in our area. [and a few other cities within two hours! a bunch of ladies DROVE hours to meet her!]

A couple weeks ago, some friends and i made out on 'easy' version cake pops. They don't look NEARLY as good as Bakerella's, but they tasted WONDERFUL. :)

It was a great afternoon, and very inspiring.

Thinking about painting; and how very much i miss doing it.

I don't understand how i can enjoy doing something so much, and yet, feel... trapped and overwhelled at the thought of it.

Maybe this weekend i can try picking up those brushes again and take them for a spin! 

I'm hoping i'm not the only one that feels this way. :D

Since i was in NY for most of it though, i didn't FULLY get to experience and take the time i would have liked to for the class. 

BUT so far it's been pretty great. :)

Man....i'm still at Barnes & Nobles, try to get things done, blog, etc, and i'm FALLING ASLEEP. It's quite terrible. 

SO...since i have BEDS on the brain, i'm figured why not blog about them right? This top one i would love to have be my room, i LOVE the way the light shines through, and the the layers of cozy bedding.

The rest of these beds i realize are children's bed rooms, but i find them so cleverly decorated, and inspiring. I would TOTALLY sleep in one of those rooms as well. :D

Paralyzed... [happy Moody Monday!]

It's such a shame.

I'm taking this AMAZING blogging course by Holly from Decor8 and all i feel is paralyzed by blogging.  - that my blog isn't pretty enough, or smart enough, or inspiring enough.

It's very hindering; these feelings...  especially when i am CONSTANTLY inspired by everything i click online.

I have trouble being completely paralyzed by EVERYTHING i need to do in order to be a good blogger, a good business person, successful enough to survive, etc.

I have trouble figuring out what the right FIRST steps to take are in this social networking world are...

I don't actually consider myself a jealous person necessarily, but i always feel like I'm behind, and could never be 'as good' or as 'interesting' as other people. I truly am not trying to compare myself, but right now, i feel like there is so much to do to 'catch up' and that there is SO MUCH inspiration online, that i get distracted or want to do everything, which makes me lose sight of what makes me genuine.

What breaks my heart the most is knowing i've dealt with these emotions for SUCH a long time! Years! And the that it's been hindering my growth for years, seems so very heart wrenching...

Does anyone else feel these heavy feelings? I don't feel as though i am alone in this boat, but sometimes the boat swishes through the waves, and i don't hear any other voices.

It's quite daunting.
