Couting the Crows.

Oh my!! I went to a Counting Crow concert a couple weeks ago and it was Fan-freaking-tastic!! All three bands were on stage, all playing each other's songs, for large majority of the concert. Twas incredible! I've never seen any concert where there were like, 20 people on stage almost the whole time.

Counting Crows Concert

They didn't break the concert up into three sections like most concerts I've been to. Instead, they all just kind of traded drummers every couple songs and sometimes it was just the one band at a time, and sometimes random members from the other bands were singing along as well.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kMkPA6HZoHQ <- Phooey! I wanted to include this video. It's one of the only "High Life" versions i approve, but i can't seem to get the actual video in my blog. Blasphemy!

If you ever have the option of seeing them, even if you never heard them before [like moi] go see them! At least on this tour!! It was a wonderful experience. :)

Picnics, Farmers Markets and a Happy Saturday.

I went on a picnic a couple weekends ago. First we went to the Farmers Market (yay!) and bought some delicious foods.

I tried my first Arnold Palmer which was STELLAR! We played our guitars, ate delicious food and enjoyed the beautiful weather. Twas lovely.

The squirels are really cocky. They litterally come RIGHT up to you to steal you're food.

Go Squirel Go!

This one was a run away. :) We did give him a cherry eventually.

Picnic Goodness

MMM....So yummy!

I love acousitc guitars...PLUS they travel well, so you can bring them to parks.

And sometimes we've had such lovely weather...when it's not raining. Welcome to Florida! It's either gorgeous or horrid outside.

All in all it was a nice afternoon. I seriously LOVE Farmers Markets so it's always a treat to visit them!

Operation: Crutches

Life continues to be complicated in my [outside of Cherry Runway] world. I AM officially off crutches which in theory is great, but walking on my foot is hurting me and i finally have to start talking my aspirin/pain killers which I've managed NOT to take any of until now.

That kind of bums me out.

I'm also really scared someone might step on me since i can't wear shoes yet, and stepping on rocks has not been fun. Lastly, i am officially NOT allowed to exercise at all for another two months which literally made me cry at the clinic. I feel icky, and love walks and am really sad i have to wait so much longer to start going on walks or doing Kung Fu again.

Would you like some asprin with your pity party?

Wow..it's been so long. So sad. I've been MIA from the Internet world really..

I know i know..this is a Cherry Runway blog, but honestly, Cherry Runway has been the furthest thing from my mind as of late, and i feel somewhat guilty so i wanted to share a smidgen of my life for the last few weeks.

jendr -- quality picture? not to much. Meaningful picture? yes sir!

It has also been four? weeks now since my accident, of which, i am still on crutches for at least another three weeks. My gosh...i will try to never take for granted how easy it's easy to do things normally like go grocery shopping, walk to your mailbox, or even pick things up around the house. I haven't even fully unpacked from Renegade, or written out thank you notes to customers which is horrid, but i can't walk around. :( It's been weeks and I'm getting kind of frustrated, and tired that i need help to do EVERYTHING now. I can't even shower like a normal person. It's crazy.

On the bright side, the blessing of all of this, is knowing i AM capable of taking care of myself, of changing my bandages, or getting by for weeks on crutches, and for infinite trips to the clinic. I know I can handle these things without much help, and for that i am thankful. :)

PLUS it hasn't been all bad. I have actually had a real social life [offline] for once, which is kind of strange for me. ha! With this social life comes return of cooking, and playing my guitar which for those i am so thankful. These two have been major blessing in my life right now.

amanda

brian

cook

Brian and Amanda (who although are the 2nd of those names to be my friends) are number 1's to me! :) They are both gerat friends with amazing hearts and hearty appities. They have done everything from picked me up to go to Walmart, or church, to stay 17 hours just to hang, play guitar and cook great food. I am very appreaciative of both of you. [even if you won't see this because you don't read my blog!, lol] :)

Bad bad blogger and the snail ring!!

And here i thought i was going to be THE BEST BLOGGER since i returned from California. I mean, i had SO MUCH to share right? But then life gets in the way, and you cut your toe open and the meds made you sick and your soooo tired from the crutches and...what? Not your life? Oh! Just mine!! Phooey!

Anyways, there is much i shall share, but tonight i'll just take it easy and show you my FAVORITE thing i purchased while at Renegade.

If you really know me, you'll understand why i am SO VERY excited about this purchase.

Snail ring!!

I've been looking for a special "Jen Ring" for a few months now, and i was holding out until i found one that completely struck my fancy. It's been a long journey finding this ring but thanks for the lovely Christine from Chocolate and Steel, i finally found it!!

I <3 snails oh so much! So much to the point that when there are snails in the present, i kind of lose track of time and need to be reminded that we errands to run and a life to live.

Snail ring!!

This ring has made me a very happy camper. It symbolizes a lot for me, and has especially made me smile every two days when i have to take another trip to the clinic. :)

Make sure you check out Christine's web shop! She really is a very talented jewelry designer!!
